Pharaoh Take’s Universal Studio LA
For my little brother’s 16th birthday, I took him all the way to Universal Studios in LA. I previously have been to the one in Florida and loved it. But the two parks are totally different but the same as well. LA is a much smaller park than Florida like much smaller. The setup is weird, the one in FL the different themes flow together but in LA they seemed be thrown together and there is no rhythm to the park. They have less rides than FL but more attractions like the Walking Dead and Hollywood Animal show whereas Florida didn’t have these. They only actual ride that LA has but Florida did not is of course the Universal studio tour which includes two rides that are separate in Florida (Fast and Furious Ride & King Kong: Skull Island ride).
The Best Rides: The Mummy, this is a CG rollercoaster that has a lot of twist and turns plus a couple good scares. The Forbidden Journey at Hogwarts is another CG roller-coaster and this one has your feet hanging and is crazy fun. A lot of quick twist and surprises around every corner. You cannot go to Universal Studios without doing the actual studio tour which includes two CGI full rides and an in-depth look behind the scenes.
The Best Eats: Harry Potter world is the best place for snacks. While there you must try Butter Beer, I have had the regular drink, the ice cream and it as a frozen drink. For your first time, I would suggest the regular drink and for adults the Dragon’s Breathe drink is amazing. The best place to eat is in “The Simpson’s” world. I had a waffle chicken sandwich, that was to die for.
Basically, here is what you need:
Water and Water bottles are allowed
If it’s a hot day and you sweat a lot, then a hand towel
Download the Universal Studios app (this shows you all the wait times and what’s open if anything is down. When I was there two rides were broken down)
Make sure you wear super comfy shoes, there is a lot of walking.
A small bag if you plan to pick up a few things but they do have free lockers for your stuff.
Now here are a few photos from my trip:
